Are you on the JewishFringe or are you wearing them? We’re interested in all aspects of contemporary Jewish culture, everything from food to events to music. We not all part of the mainstream Jewish community, so our outlook doesn’t always toe the party line, but we’re always at the head of the line to party.
We’re based in Chicago so posts sometimes have a local twist. We’re neither pro- nor anti- religion, and we’re interested in exploring what it is to be a Hebe, a Yid, a Red Sea Pedestrian in the 21st Century.
JewishFringe is like a blowout house party during Passover where the fridge is filled is 40 oz. bottles of Mogen David, stacked like Malt Liquor. We’re like a Tel Aviv Dance Club, Kosher Deli and The Reader rolled into one. We’re the kids that go to shul on Shabbes just to hit the kiddush klub, the Hadassah Chapter that hangs out in Wicker Park, and the guys down the hall from Harold and Kumar.
