Square Bagels on the march

Posted on Thursday 26 April 2007

Oh no, what is next?? Circular hammentaschen? Triangular matzah balls? Trapezoidal falafel?

You have to admit – it will fit into a toaster easier! Please don’t discriminate against squares – they have feelings too!

Few things in Jewish life are square. Shtreimels are round. Bagels are round. Shumrah Matza is round and so is the scroll of torah. the year is round, only the mishkan is square. squares are sharp, circles are round and we’re talking about Thomas brand, which really has no business in the bagel world in the first place, but I digress.
