Anna Nicole & Temple Mount

Posted on Wednesday 14 February 2007

True Ancestor isn’t a regular read of mine but its one of the funnier things I’ve read about the passing of Anna Nicole Smith.  Actually its the only things I’ve read about it, but its pretty good:

One was driven to destruction by warring interests, a quest for power, slavish devotion and feverish worship, and upon its destruction was seized upon and made holy; the other is a wall and a dome.

One was poked and prodded, nipped and tucked, excavated and shored until its facade began to crumble; the other is the site of a controversial archeological dig.

The other is a wall and a dome?  Okay, short shrift for the holiest site in Judaism, but before you all bombard me with emails, yes, I know that Smith too had domes…

Thanks for the shout. My irreverence, believe it or not, does know some bounds.
