New Mishkan for JRC

Posted on Tuesday 8 August 2006

Evanston’s Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation (JRC) is rebuilding their whole building, and kol hakavod! Its gonna be a “green” shul and got a grant to make it a more energy-efficient house of worship.  Pretty cool in a sort of modernist take on the Prarie school, and pretty coo in terms of treading lightly on this Earth.

In the meantime, JRC is kicking it old school at Shaarei Tikvah in Albany Park on Kimball, in case were looking for them.and iIn case you were wondering, there are three other Reconstructionist congregations in the are, Beth Sholom in Napertucky, EH-NTJC in Skokie and Shir Hadash in Northbroook.
