Okay, Hitler Memorials in Wisconsin aside, if you’re free, and you like free stuff, join us Thursday evening June 22nd, for one of the City’s Movies in the Park! Why not, its FREE! We’re heading down to Bucktown’s Churchill Field, 1825 N. Damen Ave. (map it) to see one of my favorite Mel Brooks Movies of All Time: “The Producers” the original with Zero Mostel as Max Bialystock and Gene Wilder as Leo Bloom. Brilliant.
Someone who loves this film put a lot of time into posting interesting recordings of cast members and Mel Brooks, Mostel and Wilder talking about the film, including clips from the film itself. Check it out.
I’m guessing the flick starts at dusk, around 8:30, so meet up around 7:00 with some friends at Danny’s a couple blocks north (1925 W. Dickens, off Damen) for a drink then head off to the movie.
