Last night’s gallery event at the Schopf Gallery was off the hook. 300 people attended this unique celebration Israel’s Independence. There was strong work from over 14 artists and the crowd’s reactions were equally impressive (the post party at Catacombs wasn’t bad either). The whole evening was a smash and I’ll be posting pictures of the event and the more impressive works shortly. Thanks again to the folks at HAC, JCRC and to Lynn Schuberth and Bill Schopf, and of course to all the great artists who made it possible. B”H we’ll have more events like this in the year to come, and hopefully the Community will see fit to expand their funding of Jewish arts initiatives like these which celebrate who we are as a people. That is, after all, what KFAR is all about. If you have thoughts on this, or on the event itself, please share.
