KFAR Jewish Arts Center seeks passionate and dedicated individuals for internships in the areas of administration, booking, marketing and development. Ideal candidates should have an interest in Jewish culture and the arts and have some basic work experience in a related field. Barring that, interest in one or the either will suffice. The organization is small, the work environment informal, and the atmosphere entrepreneurial. Interns will gain hands-on experience in planning and executing exciting public programs, booking acts into institutions and venues and other areas of not-for-profit operations.

Candidates must posses an entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity and be organized, have excellent communication and writing ability , good problem-solving skills, be computer literate and willing to work 15-20 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Students wishing to earn college credit for their internship must make appropriate arrangements with their school. All positions are part-time, Monday through Thursday 9am – 7pm and Fridays 9am-2pm with occasional Saturday nights and Sundays to staff our events. Internships are unpaid, but rewarding and not without cool perks. To learn more, click here.

You’ve been busy tagging and adding and making new myspace friends.  Now you can add KFAR to your myspace friends’ list.  Not only is it a great way to stay in touch with the coolest Jewish culture west of Brooklyn, its a great way to connect with like-minded friends you meet at KFAR events.  So if you have an account, add KFAR (myspace.com/kfarcenter) as your friend.  And if you don’t, join the millions of people wasting time at work on myspace.

Hey everyone. As we revamp our website, we want to start posting lots of pictures from our events. Ya, know, to show people how much fun they miss when they skip and event, to track down that cute guy/girl your saw at the show, pix with you and your friends and of course, with the talent! You can see some of the sample pix flashin’ around on the side bar to the right.

YOU CAN CHECK THEM OUT RIGHT HERE ON OUR SITE.  CLICK HERE!
We’re starting to use flickr, since that seems to be an easy way to share and upload pix. If you have pictures or videos from KFAR events, please send them to us via email, OR you can share them with us via flickr, and they’ll show up here on the KFAR site for all to see and enjoy!
